I know I´v been SOOOOO not good at posting........but please bear with me I have a lot to do. We are moving. I´m so happy with that:) so I´v been packing and sorting through our stuff - getting rid of a lot of old useless stuff - giving away a lot of unused stuff to charity - and that is a BIG job. We will be moving in the begining of May so I do not have a lot of time but what I have is a lot of stuff - still - to pack.

I have to tell you that I love the background of our blog this time :) Carole did amazing job on it with her beatufiul new kit: Spring Bunnies .

Spring is finely here and it´s such a good feeling, I´ll post here a photo of two spring (or easter) candles I decorated a few years ago and never lighted though.

Have a good time - and I´ll try to post sooner next time.

I really thought that spring was around the corner but if you look at these photos you can see that I´m so wrong. The first photo is taken around 11.30 am on our way to Reykjavik but the other two are taken around 14.30 pm on our way back home. So as you see SPRING is not here YET :(
Not much has happened since my last post, other then I´m moving in about 5 weeks and I´m so happy with that, even though I have a LOT to pack and a lot of stuff to through away it´sjust SPRING CLEANING :)

Took this picture of our yard the other day. As you can see, the snow is finally all gone, leaving behind a muddy swamp! Do I care? Not one bit, I am so happy to see the ground at last! There have been lots of sandhill cranes and canadian geese flying overhead, a sure sign that spring is just around the corner. For me though, it's not officially spring until the redwind blackbirds arrive, I love to hear them calling to each other up and down the road. The only thing I don't like about spring is when the peepers come out in the pond across the street. Catching frogs is one of our cats favorite sports, and every spring and early summer I end up having to chuck quite a few frogs out the front door!

Catnip Glutton

This is a picture of Montibers, the catnip monster! Neal sprinkled some canip on the carpet the other day (yes that's catnip, not dirt! LOL) and Monty rolled in it until he was completely covered, what a glutton he is! I love this picture of him licking his lips, well on the way to being totally stoned! We keep a large tin filled with catnip that Neal harvested last summer. We usually keep all our cat toys in it, and pull a few out every once in a while for the cats to enjoy. However we usually do not dump catnip on the floor, so this was quite a special treat for the kitties! You can't see them in this photo, but there were 5 or 6 other cats rolling around in the catnip as well.

OK I did not go on to Round 2 in the DET - at least not this time :) I still have a beautiful kit and a great word art to play with, that is a good thing. But I just want to post my layout here so you can see it - if you are interested :)
I´m doing the DSU211 class - I find it so much fun - and I´m learning a lot. Alos now I have more time to practices my homework - not doing the DET

OK I did find out how to fix the header - took my almost half a day to do it and get the blog background like I wanted it this time - Next time it´s Carole´s job LOL wow am I glad LOL.
No really it´s kind of fun to find out what you have to do to make the blog nicer, and add some cool stuff there.
This time I made an addition: C-box so now you can "talk to us" that is so cool - right? The Background is made using Carole´s super cool kit Driftwood, that is a very fun and easy kit to work with.

Hi there, long time no see.
I went again to my sister´s summerhouse for a few days and of course took a lot of photos and some I´m going to post here and some are going to a layout and some I do not know what to do with LOL. It´s snowing again today :( I´m going to tell myself, like I told my kid´s when they were little that now is the time that spring is fighting the winter and soon the spring is going to win so just be patient - that way I know spring will win :)
No to find the photos I promised hang on.................................. like I said I have a lot more so maybe I´ll just pop in here now and then with small talk and a photo or two.

Well Tora, you've certainly been doing a great job of keeping the posts current. Your photos are just spectacular, I never get tired of looking at them! Sounds like your weather is similar to our weather here in Michigan, maybe a tad warmer though. It is dreadfully gloomy here today, cold and rainy. Oh well, I shouldn't complain, at least it's not more snow! I am starting to feel the effects of lack of sleep, lucky I have the day off tomorrow! hey, I could use a little help from you all. I just finished a new page kit and I haven't been able to come up with a name for it yet, any suggestions? So far all I have come up with is Clockwork Orange, not a very nice name I'm afraid! If you have any ideas, leave a comment, maybe we'll do a vote for the best name! LOL

My friend Rosie told me to post more often here because she likes to read this blog, so I´m trying to do as I´m told to;)

Silly me, I really do not like the rain, but now I´m so happy with it, because it means the snow is melting - that must mean I do not like the snow - so what do I like? Good question that...lets see: snow when it´s Christmas eve - that is so beautiful. Rain when the spring is around the corner and no wind with the rain - that´s fine. SPRING, SUMMER, SUNSHINE, WARM WEATHER - that is something I LIKE. So you see I like somethings. And all the daylight we have over the summer here in Iceland is awesome, no dark nights, just light - light - light. OK I like a lot of things about the weather.
Going to find a photo with this post....................not snow, not rain, not windy, hang on have to find some photo.... oh yes this is what I like summer, blue sky, waterfalls, nature;)

And now I have to head to my working place to put together the blog´s background for Marsh, that is what my blog-partner and "sis" Carole told me to do.....so you see I do what I´m told to do.

Hello everyone;) Not much to say now just thinking a lot about my friend Carole and her sick mom, praying that things will get better.
Her it´s finely starting to RAIN and getting a little warmer, it´s not necessarily stooped snowing for this winter but it´s getting warmer. ;)
So I think this is it for the this time, I know it´s not much but somehow I´v not got anything to tell you about, nothing to brag about so instead of just "talking" I´ll say good bye for now;) Oh maybe I´ll put on photo here;) of a flower I was given for taking care of Nikitas half brother Gloi for a few days. (for those of you that do not know Nikita and Gloi are Chihuahua´s)

No it´s not good enough when we do not post for so many days, so sorry all of you that are reading our blog, I will try to come here more often and write something and post a photo or two.
Her it´s been rather cold, but very beautiful, the days are filled with sunshine but also with frost and snow on the ground. But I did noticed on some of the trees in my garden that they are beginning to make those little knobs where the leaves are (I have no idea what you call it but we call it "brum" in Iceland. Hope you know what I mean.
Well for now I´m just going to post a beautiful winter photo I took this week when I when to visit my sister in her summerhouse and spent a night there. Well OK few photos and I have to post a photo of Nikita too, she is so cute and she got to spend the time with the to of us, my sister end me.

Wow! I got this one done in record time! I originally meant it to be a bit more "baby" themed, like the Pretty In Pink Kit, but those darn little ducks took on a life of their own!

I also struggled with the number of elements, I wanted all four of the ducks, but I also wanted both frames, the word art, the feather, the puddle journal spot and the cattails. Originally, I had added the ducks to the other elements, one was sitting in the frame, one standing in the puddle, etc, but I REALLY wanted those little guys to be able to move round. Finally, I made the executive decision to put them together as a set as thought they were buttons, or brads. Not strictly kosher by DSP standards I'm sure, but hey, it's after all my kit to do with what I will! Here's a layout I did using a picture of Chloe' wearing a playset with appliqued ducks that I made for her back in the olden days when I had time to sew! LOL It's actually quite hard for me to make a layout using my own kits, I guess maybe it's because I've been looking at them for too long or something. Anyway, let me know what you think. Is it too cutesy, not cutesy enough? Should I do an add-on pack with flowers, bugs, a jumping fish, that sort of thing? I was thinking of maybe doing some little bunnies for Easter, but not for a while yet!

Woo Hoo! Finally finished!

I finally finished the page kit I've been sitting on for about 2 weeks now! I just checked out my "extras" folder, (that's the place where I dump all the stuff I don't use). It has over 20 background papers and over 50 "not quite good enough" elements in it!!! I got in the habit of saving everything, first of all because it's really HARD to throw away something I've spent so much time and love on, and secondly, you never know what you might need in the future. I suppose eventually I will have to start deleting my older files, either that or I will have to add on a room to hold all my EHDs!!! I'm currently working on the companion kit to Pretty In Pink, it's called Bouncy In Blue and it's REALLY, REALLY CUTE! Hopefully, I'll get this one done a little quicker, I already have 4 (I think!) background papers and 4 elements, so barring disaster I should have this one done by the end of the weekend. My finished page kits are starting to pile up, so anyone out there who's looking for a new designer, come and get me!!! LOL

Now we got both the counter and the Live Traffic Feed so all we need now is the guest book, and that will come soon.
I´m working on the February templet for the blog so please look again and see what I made.
I signed up for the new TNS - called now Trendsetter at DSP and really looking forward to that, maybe that will get me started on scrapping again - hopefully ;)
We also have to get started on getting our favorite sites up here.....a lot do to get this blog like we want to...but this is so much fun....making a blogsite and it´s getting there slowly but getting there;) (sorry for not spelling everything right-maybe I should do this in my language hehehe no just try spelling right)

It´s been a while since my last post LOL but I´v been working on a scrap-kit for SNL and it´s going very slowly somehow.
Then there has been work going on in my house, fixing the floor's after the big earthquake last May, so my house has been in quiet a mess, but now it´s getting to be normal again, and then I´m going to try to finish this scrap-kit for SNL.
Just for the fun I´m going to put a photo here of my little snowman that my DS (19yold) made for me the other day, snowmen are my favorit thing over the time of winter, but this cute guy is just tiny LOL.

Here's a photo I took of Chloe' out rolling in the snow. You'll notice she's wearing a hoodie and tennis shoes. No hat, no boots, no scarf, no gloves. When she was little, the playground monitors were always yelling at her to zip up her coat, etc. until they finally learned to leave her alone. As you can see, she hasn't changed much. I suppose she gets it from me, since I rarely wear a coat unless I'm planning to be outside for an extended period of time. I pretty much hate wearing a coat in the car, and it seems silly, really to put on a coat just to walk from the house to the car, or the car to the store. I usually pump gas in just my shirtsleeves as well, unless the wind chill is well below zero, then I just sit in the car while the pump is running. I was walking into a shopping mall a couple of weeks ago and a lady actually stopped her car and rolled down the window to tell me that I was making her cold just to look at me! So yes, I suppose I am a bad influence on Chloe', but at least I have enough sense not to roll in the snow!

I wanted to make our own template and background, I used some of Carole´s elements, the teddy and sign and made a little black cat for her, she has I do not know how many cats and she love´s them all ;) then I used the tree from myself and made a little dog for me since I have one little tyni Chihuahua and love dogs.
